Rebuttal to Proposal(s)

Published by Dwayne under General

I see that there are worthy attempts to have a female’s name yet once again on the glorious Moore Cup. I for one will not stand for such atrocities. It is high time that the rightful owner of the Moore Cup ascend HIS throne. We just do not know if the rightful owner has the name “Ernie,” “Eric,” or [hopefully] “Dwayne Sr.” Personally, it does not matter to me as long as the name is of masculine origin (I suppose to further clarify, the owner of that name must be of original masculinity as well).

I feel that such feminine attempts to steal, or in part “share,” the glory of being a current reigning champ within Moore Madness are indeed a gross maligning of what could be a wonderful year for the Moore men. Men who have suffered abuse at the hands of one Moore woman in particular during the month of March for the past five years. Men who have been in waiting for many years. Men who desperately need to salvage some type of reign within Moore Madness for the sake of future masculine posterity.

My name is Dwayne and I approve this content….trust that you will too!

Better Yet…

Better yet, if Eric wins, my name could be in parentheses next to his?

Come on now. Work with me.

I am still proposing that I receive a special award for being in first place after the first game. Who will second this?

Day 8 Standings

Published by Dwayne under Standings

I cannot believe the run that George Mason has had.  That is what I get for gloating that the Bruins won!  I wish that I had been able to see the game, I heard it was a good one.  Without further delay…

  1. Dwayne 40-21
  2. Ernie 39-22
  3. Jennifer 39-22
  4. Melody 39-22
  5. Eric 38-23
  6. Emily 37-24
  7. Becca 35-26

We will have to see how it works out next weekend.  There are only two people that have teams left in it.  I have UCLA and Ernie has Florida.  I have UCLA going to the final game and Ernie has Florida loosing to UConn, who is now out thanks to GMU.  We will have to wait for next weekend!

LSU is Dancing…

Published by Dwayne under General

LSU is going to the Final Four.  They are still hungry and have tape worms in their belly (if you saw the post game interview).  This next game will be the big game.  If UCLA wins - lets just say that I’ll be dancin’!!!!

Day 6 Standings

Published by Dwayne under Standings

Well, Day 6 proved to be just as exciting and just as disappointing.  The Nova came is still hitting me right here (I am pounding my heart for those of you who cannot see me)!  There was great weeping and gnashing of teeth, but when I finally got Jennifer calmed down….just kidding.  Anywhoo - here are the standings:

  1. Dwayne 39-18 (this alphabetical thing is still working!!)
  2. Jennifer 39-18
  3. Eric 38-19
  4. Ernie 38-19
  5. Melody 38-19
  6. Emily 37-20
  7. Becca 35-22

Once the games are done today, I will post Day 7 standings.  That is, as long as they finish at a decent hour.  As my 30th approaches, I realize that being up past 10:30 or 11:00 at night has “lasting implications.”

Enjoying the madness…

I Cannot believe…

Published by Dwayne under General

…that Villanova won on a goal-tending!  Man!!  Eric, you are safe - for now!  We’ll see how the rest of the night pans out.  Does anyone know why the tip time for the late games were pushed back?

Deep Thoughts, By Rebecca Moore

Published by Becca under General

First off, Emily you are not the brightest Crayon in the Moore Crayon Box; but we all have our faults, so it’s okay. Those two letters you wrote are awesome. I cannot wait to see what happens…

Second, I am not doing well this year in the brackets. I realize this, and I heard somewhere that admitting to something is the first step. I was very irritated last night at CBS for not showing the end of the Duke vs. LSU game. They did go back and forth between the Duke game and the Memphis game, but I still missed the last critical moments. I don’t understand how I have like a million channels and I could not watch the one game I wanted to watch.

Anyways, I am now picking LSU to win; but I guess it doesn’t really matter now…

Love

RLM

PS: Mama, I hope you win!!!!!!

Ok, Ok, Ok. So I don’t understand the whole post thing. I had no idea that my name would be right next to the title.  And no I didn’t notice it before on all the other posts.

Anonymous Tip

Published by EKM under General

I think you all should investigate where Eric’s picks came from.  Perhaps an Honor Code violation has occurred?  Or perhaps we are not congratulating the correct person?

Day 5 Standings

Published by Dwayne under Standings

Day 5 was an interesting day for the NCAA brackets.  Not just ours.  I believe that Duke was the most popular pick overall this year, according to some news I heard from somewhere. Without further delay…

  1. Dwayne 37-16
  2. Jennifer 37-16
  3. Melody 36-17
  4. Emily 35-18
  5. Eric 35-18
  6. Ernie 35-18
  7. Becca 33-20

I still think Eric will come out to win, but Mrs. Moore is coming up - she had the greatest move from Day 4 to Day 5.  While these standings do not reflect future losses, you can do the math.  I don’t think we have had a champion who has won with their final pick out before the sweet sixteen.  I could be wrong on that, but I don’t think so.  This would mean that Emily, Jennifer, and Becca are out.  Day 5 may knock some more of us out.  If I am going to win, I need Villanova to lose!! Sorry Eric.  I will post late tonight or early tomorrow for Day 6 standings.  DJ has a soccer game in the morning, they are calling for snow/snow flurries.  That game will be interesting, won’t it?

What in the World?

Published by Dwayne under General

LSU just beat Duke!  This just took Jennifer out of the Moore Cup running.  This, of course leaves me, sort of.  My predicition is that Eric is the dark horse and will come through to take the Cup home.

Back into the Action

Published by Dwayne under General

Hello!

Get ready for another weekend of great basketball.  I just hope, for my bracket’s sake, there are not as many upsets this weekend as there were last weekend!  Barring any huge turnaround, it looks as if we will have a new champion.  As to who that is, we will just have to see how it pans out.  The top 4 are pretty close - it could go either way.  Check back this evening for the official Day 5 standings.
