Today Mom said something to me about her and I not doing too well. I had not looked at the standing, but I had been keeping up with my own bracket. No, I am not doing well at all. I think my reign is over…or just maybe on a break for a year…I really hope that one of the girls wins, because that is another tradition for Moore March Madness. So, my best of luck to Jennifer, Mama, and Emily.

I knew the alphabetical thing would work out to my advantage!! Just kidding….sort of. I like Day 4. That being said, here are the standings…
- Dwayne 35-14
- Jennifer 35-14
- Eric 33-16
- Ernie 33-16
- Melody 33-16
- Emily 32-17
- Rebecca 31-18
We have a break for the next few days. Feel free to blog anytime during then. Check back - I may post some news stories throughout the week. Check out the NIT tournament. I will be viewing one game tomorrow night. Matt and I are going to watch Clemson Take on U 0f L here at Freedom Hall. I am so excited to go see my Tigers play!
Enjoy!!

Wow, Day 3 flew by - it seems as if I just posted Day 2 standings (ha-ha-ha)!! Intersting brackets today. Illiniois and Tennessee did us all dirty. Tennesee did Emily the most dirty (sorry Em). So, here are the Day 3 standings:
- Jennifer 31-10
- Dwayne 30-11
- Eric 29-12
- Ernie 29-12
- Emily 28-13
- Melody 28-13
- Becca 27-14
Well there it is! We will see how tomorrow pans out. Maybe I can take over Jennifer. Maybe not. We will not get to watch any games tomorrow - we do not get CBS at church. I will post Day 4 standings tomorrow night when we get home and I can get the scores.

I know…I know…they’re late. But at least they are here right? Before I start the list, I will say that after Day 2, there is a surprising leader!! This leader, again, after Day 2, picked the entire Washington DC bracket correctly!! So, without further delay…
- Jennifer 26-7Â
- Ernie 25-8Â
- Dwayne 24-9
- Eric 24-9
- Emily 22-11
- Melody 22-11
- Rebecca 21-12
Again, an unlikely leader (no offense honey!) and an unlikely person in last place (from an historical standpoint)! I am glad to see that the three guys occupy places 2-4.Â
I will post the Day 3 standings later tonight after the games are finished. My apologies on the delay of the Day 2 standings. As always, if I have made a mistake, please let me know.
Enjoying the madness…

Well,
After the first round of games (4 of them) on Day 2, there was only one game that provided separation. We all picked up wins with Ohio State and Arizona. We all picked up a loss with Northwestern State’s last second upset of Iowa. The game that provided some separation was the Bucknell/Arkansas game. Bucknell won if you do not yet know.
Waiting to see how the rest of the day pans out…

I love this time of year! The games were sooo good last night. Welcome to the Big Dance! Too bad it only lasts for about 2 weeks…..

I do not like how this is going… Are we counting the Monmouth game? I think I am second to last if we don’t count that game…

Here are the official Day 1 Standings. If I have something wrong for some reason - let me know!
- Eric 13-4
- Ernie 13-4Â
- Dwayne 12-5
- Jennifer 12-5
- Emily 11-6
- Melody 11-6
- Rebecca 11-6
Note that the difference between 1st and 7th place is only two games. It is interesting how we have all picked rather similar - at least for Day 1. Day 2 will most likely bring some separation.

What a first day of action! And it is not over. It is 12:25am here and the Washington/Utah St. game is still going on. I will post official Day 1 standings in the morning - well, later this morning when I wake up. Just a few thoughts to recap the day.
There were three upsets that were a wash for all of us: (1) Nevada/Montana game (2) Oklahoma/UW-Milwaukee game and (3) Syracuse/Texas A&M game. All of these, we had the losers picked.Â
Now there is still one score to come in later, but there seems to be a couple games that have provided initial separation for contestants: (1) Alabama/Marquette game and (2) Indiana/San Diego St. game.Â
Emily probably had the greatest exhale for the day though. She had to have been holding her breath for the Tennessee/Winthrop game since she has Tennessee to take the Championship this year. Winthrop almost cost her the cup! Winthrop almost cost most of us several losses!!Â
Again, I will post official Day 1 standings in the morning when I get up, going, and settled in. Until then…

As of this moment, middle of the Belmont vs. UCLA game….I have realized a few things:
1) All of us missed the upset by Montana over Nevada, and the upset by Wisc- Mil. over Oklahoma.
2) The list is:
       Dwayne, Dad, Eric…with 5 winsÂ
       Me and Jenny….with 4
       Mama and Emily…with 3
3) Ladies, do you see that all 3 guys are in first place right now? We have to win this!!!

Hey Family,
I just wanted to tell you that Emily is not really winning, her name is just in the Number 1 spot. Don’t get use to it, because soon I will be back on top in the Number 1 spot, with my trophy for the 6th year in a row.
I mailed Dad, Eric, and Dwayne a copy of my bracket, but I just realized I left off one of the picks. For the Arkansas vs. Bucknell game, I pick Arkansas. Please write it in.
Well good luck to you all

…I know, I know. I know the tournament began yesterday and I know that the pundits realize that there are 65 teams in the dance and not 64, but come on. The action starts tomorrow. The Monmouth/Hampton game was just an appetizer. It was filler. It was action in between the action. That is something to hold people’s interest between filling out their brackets and when the games begin. So, we begin tomorrow. Tonight, some time, I will have everyone’s brackets scanned in and placed on the internet. You can view each other’s brackets by clicking on the link to the right. I will post to let you know when they are available.
Glad to see that others are getting into this blog thing. I think it will be really fun once all the games begin and also fun to look back over the two weeks time to see our dialogue. As with all other years - it should be interesting!

Am I really in first place?! I must live it up now because this is the only time that I will hold the glorious, coveted first place. Maybe we should start a trophy for the person who is in first after the first game. I am all for that. Really.

Don’t brag too much on Ernie. He told me he picked Mammoth (sic) because of Mammoth Cave. Of course, I picked Hampton because of Hampton Inn!
